Bonner Black began her life on stage as a classical ballerina as a senior member of the Academy of Classic Arts in Huntsville Alabama. She won scholarships to dance with the Eglevsky Ballet in New York City along with several prestigious professional companies, but in 2013 she decided to move to Nashville and pursue her dream of being a songwriter. She began writing and performing at places like The Blue Bird Café, The Listening Room, and 12th Porter in the first year living in Nashville. In 2014 she, along with Katie Mae Smith, began a southern rock duo that performed all over the southeast region opening for The Band Perry, Big Smo, Shooter Jennings, and The Bellamy Brothers. In 2016 Bonner restarted her solo career and was asked to perform at The Time Center in New York City by the Oxford Center of Entreprenuers where she was awared the 2016 Artist Entreprenuer award. Her writing, mostly solo, has raw southern roots and timeless melodies. She released her current single "Someone New" June 2017 and will be releasing her second single "Sell Me On California" September 18th.
